Reservations
Prices are for double occupancy. Additional guests are at $25/night plus $20 for an additional breakfast. 12% City room tax will be calculated during the time of your reservation. Reservations made directly through our online reservation are confirmed at the time of booking and must be made with a valid credit card. There is a 2% credit card surcharge fee for Discover, Mastercard, and VISA cards. American Express charges a 3% fee. A confirmation email will be sent out once the innkeeper has reviewed the reservation details.

Check-In / Check-Out
Check-ins begin at 3:00 PM and Check Out is at 11:00 AM. Please provide your estimated time of arrival prior to your check-in date. If you have indicated a check-in time earlier than 3:00 PM, an email or text will be sent indicating your room is ready.
We may be unable to accommodate arrivals prior to 3:00 PM as we are cleaning rooms and preparing for newly arriving guests. If you have questions, please email support@sunstaralaska.com so we can address your needs directly.
Parking
Parking is available in front of the house as well as in designated spots around the property. SunStar Alaska will confirm all parking 48 hrs. prior to your reservation. The confirmation follow-up email for your reservation will indicate where you should park. There is also otherwise ample street parking available.
Children
We love kids and welcome your family to SunStar Alaska. All minors must be accompanied by an adult. Children should not be left on their own to explore and should have an adult supervisor at all times for their safety. Infant 0-2 year(s) stay for free if using existing bedding. A baby crib may be requested directly from the property. Children 3-12 year(s) stay for free if using existing bedding. If you need an extra bed, it will incur an additional charge. Guests 13 years and older are considered as adults and must use an extra bed which will incur an additional charge.
Pets
Pets Welcome! Pets stay for a modest charge of $25.00 per pet. We provide treats, stainless steel food and water dishes, dog beds on request and “dog sheets” to protect the furniture so that your friend can join you in your stay.
Please do not leave your pet unattended in your room. The happiest pets are those with their owners. Dogs left alone often become upset, aggressive, and noisy even when in a crate. Guests must pick up after their dogs. We provide stations with bags and trash receptacles throughout the property. Please be sure dogs do not urinate in the produce gardens.
As a pet owner, please be respectful and mindful of other guests. Well-behaved dogs are welcome in our lobby but not our dining room. If you would like breakfast to be served in the lobby or in the outdoor patio area, we are happy to accommodate you. Cats are not great travelers. However, some are accustomed to traveling, are very comfortable in their carriers, and welcomed. Please remember to keep your pets on a leash.
Smoking
We are a NON-SMOKING B&B. A $250.00 cleaning fee will be applied to any guest smoking inside the property. We ask that smokers use the designated smoking area at the front and or back of the house. This area is provided where there are no guest windows above or below. We will provide you with an ashtray to use and please dispose of butts appropriately.
Deposits
Confirmed reservations will be charged for the first night as a non-refundable deposit upon the time of booking if a reservation is made within 30-days of arrival. Any remaining balance will be collected during your stay.
Cancellation Policy
A deposit of one night’s accommodation including tax is required for all reservations. All balances are due at the time of check-out. Reservations for only one or two rooms, there will be a full refund of the deposit if canceled within 15 days or more in advance. For cancellations within 7 days, the deposit will only be refunded if we resell the room. Deposits and cancellations for 3 or more rooms will vary.
